Since the invention of lasers, laser TV has been a dream of laser societies, and that dream is finally coming true. Currently, several kinds of laser displays ranging from large-size laser TV to mobile projectors, are already commercially available or are due to appear on the market. The 1st LASER DISPLAY CONFERENCE (LDC'12) is being organized to share information on laser displays and related technologies. The conference will be held at Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan, on April 26- 27, 2012 with the sponsorship of the Japan Society of Applied Physics in cooperation with several academic societies and associations. The LDC'12 is intended to provide a central forum for the update and review of scientific and technical information on laser displays covering a wide range of fields from fundamental research to systems and applications.
